JJ241 SSQL1113 KUMP L STATISTIC FOR SOCIAL SCIENCE

This course introduces statistical methods and analyses of descriptive as well as inferential data in the field of social sciences. Analyses of descriptive statistics focus on representation methods of qualitative and quantitative data by using frequency distribution table, charts, graphs, diagrams, percentages, Measures of Central Tendency (Mean, Median, Mode) and also Measures of Variability (Range, Variance and Standard deviation). A number of inferential statistics use for hypothesis testing through computer application SPSS for Windows (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) namely Pearson Correlation, Simple Regression, Tests of Comparison between the Means of Two Samples (T-Test), One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and analysis of Chi-Square.
