Communication is a key element in learning and recognizing human and humanity. Hence, this course attempts to display some of the concepts, theories and communication components that can be used as a guide to understanding human characteristics such as self-concept, perception, verbal and non-verbal messages, persuasion, process of finding and presenting information, and relationship building. Characteristics of human communication will be discussed in several communication contexts such as interpersonal, small group, interviews, intercultural and mass communication. In addition, the question of leadership, negotiation process and ethics will also be discussed.
