This is one of the core courses for the undergraduates enrolled in the Bachelor of Public Management programme. Through this course, students will be exposed to some basic concepts and principles of politics and administration. The main focus of this course is the political and administrative system of parliamentary democracy and the presidential system. Furthermore, students will be exposed to other the political and administrative system besides democracy. To strengthen students' knowledge related to the political and administrative aspects, particular attention will be given to the political and administrative system in Malaysia. At the end of this course, students will be exposed to the issues of the relationship between politics and administration, where political interference in the administration of the system will influence the bureaucracy.
