This course gives students an insight into the theory, concept and practice of Islamic treasury management, and critically examines the mechanics of various modes of treasury settlement both in Islamic and conventional perspectives. Special focus will be on Islamic money market and Islamic foreign exchange management, an area of knowledge much sough-after by bankers, executives, lawyers, exporters and importers. Students will also explore various banking facilities available for treasury settlement such as banking asset and liability management, banking risk management and treasury derivatives, Analytical study on relevant topics in foreign exchange will serve to enrich students' knowledge of the course.

The main aim in providing practical training is to allow practical application of the understanding/theories acquired during university education. In other words, the practical training could potentially link up with most of the courses taught in university. The training also provide opportunity for students to have right exposure on the real Islamic banking and finance environment.
